Do you use timber in your manufacturing?
Bamboo is as hard as Jarrah, has half the expansion and contraction of hardwood, it’s available in a “gluelam” construction in any size up to 2200 x 1200 x 50mm. 40mm Laminated Bamboo Benchtops
Laminated Bamboo Benchtops, Bannisters and Stair Treads Lightweight Paulownia is available in many sizes

Our customers have used bamboo for a large variety of applications from office partitions, counter tops, hand rails, open step treads, solid structural flooring, kitchen bench tops, office furniture, shelving, skis (snow and water), skate boards, custom furniture.........

Manufactured using 4–5mm layers cross laminated for stability and strength, these furniture boards can be ordered in any size or thickness minimizing waste and time (ongoing orders of reasonable quantity).

Bamboo as a plant is the best carbon sink known to man, it consumes more carbon dioxide and emits more oxygen than any other natural source.

Bamboo is harvested every five years, and as it is a grass does not need to be replanted, it’s self propagating. Our manufactured bamboo products are all formaldehyde free and pass the EU1 standard for off gassing by over 300%. (a truly sustainable resource!!)

Paulownia is a very lightweight hardwood similar to western red cedar and could be ideal where the weight is a factor.

Paulownia is available in lengths to 4.5m and dimensions to suit your needs. These plants are locally grown and milled in Northern NSW.

Flexibility of size - from 17mm to 150 mm in thickness, planks up to 300mm wide and if required cross laminated sheeting is a possibility.
Blonde in color, rich grained, durable (used externally as shutters and fencing slats) Paulownia could provide you with a alternative option that is a cost effective, sustainable alternative to the traditional solution you currently use.
