New Sponsorship with a cartoon difference

Bamboo Direct are proud to announce a new sponsorship with the The Coffs Harbour Bunker Gallery and the Bald Archy Prize Exhibition for 2011.

The Coffs Harbour Bunker Gallery is a cultural service provided by the Coffs Harbour City Council.

The Bald Archy is the portrait prize which permits artists to add an extra dollop of humour, expressiveness and playfulness to the canvas. Its founder and curator, Peter Batey, emplys unconvetional methods to deciding the winner, including the reaction of his pet cockatoo to the works.

This exhibition provides learning opportunities for creative young people and professional development for talented emerging artists

The Bald Archy Prize Exhibition for 2011 official opening will be held Friday 27th May, 2011, although the exhibition dates are 23rd May - 18th June, 2011.

The Deputy Mayor, Denise Knight will be opening the night. Bamboo Direct Coffs Harbour's sales manager, Geoff McHeyzer will also be there to say a few words.
